This is a huge topic with many answers to the question: Which is the best to make? There are very simple ingredients you can buy at the grocery story to create a homemade hair conditioner. Let’s take a look at three simple recipes using local produce and dairy.
Three homemade hair conditioner recipes from your kitchen

2 tsp honey
1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
1 egg yolk.
When completely mixed, work into hair one small section at a time. Wrap head with towel for 25 or 30 minutes. Shampoo and rinse.
Hair Conditioner Recipe #2
Combine the following ingredients over low heat just until warm.
4 drops lavender oil
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon jojoba oil

This one is super easy. After you shampoo and rinse, towel dry your hair. Massage ½ cup mayonnaise. Wrap head in towel for 15 minutes then shampoo lightly and rinse with apple cider vinegar and water.
My favorite recipe, but you won’t find it in the kitchen
My favorite homemade conditioner recipe is made with Camellia seed oil. Give it a try; I think you will fall in love with it too. Oh, by the way, it’s an absolutely divine oil to use on your skin as well, regardless of your skin type. I also love it because of Camellia oil’s penetrative capability into skin tissue. As it penetrates cells, it stimulates the growth of hair follicles, promotes healthy hair growth and in some cases restores hair loss.
There are several ways to create a homemade hair conditioner with Camellia seed oil. You can apply a few drops of the oil to the palms of your hands and starting from the ends, work the oil upwards toward your scalp. Then gently message what remains on your hands into your scalp.
You can also add two or three drops of lavender oil to 4 ounces of Camellia oil then add to a misting bottle. After washing your hair, towel dry and lightly spray. Work gently into scalp with fingertips. Don’t overdo. A light spray is all you need. Store your mix in a cool dry place ready to perform its miracles the next time you wash your hair.
Camellia oil can also be added to dry hair between washings if needed. I love this stuff. You’re going to be hearing a lot more about Camellia oil in the future, but for right now it’s time for you to create your own homemade hair conditioner and report back here how it works for you.
Now go have fun and relax.
