What you need:
2 1/2 ounces unscented Castile bar soap
1 cup water
1 cup aloe Vera gel
Blender
Medium sized saucepan
Directions:
Slice or grate Castile soap and place in medium sized saucepan
Add 1 cup of water to soap and mix until the soap melts
Add 1 cup of aloe Vera gel
Let mixture sit overnight
The next day, add choice of fragrance or essential oil and, if you are making an acne body wash, 6 teaspoons of tea tree oil.
Using an electric mixer, stick blender or a hand held egg beater, blend the soap mixture until creamy
This soap recipe without the tea tree oil tends to be somewhat firm due to the aloe gel. So pour it into a wide mouth plastic or glass container and cover. The aloe gel soap is completely natural, so in order not to introduce bacteria to your soap, so use a small spatula or plastic spoon to remove it from the container.
Tip: If you’re going to use this soap as an acne body wash, leave the soap on your skin for a couple of minutes before rinsing. This allows the tea tree oil and aloe gel to work their magic.
